Welcome to Taiwan Etiquette Academy & Finishing School! We offer Social and Life Skills training programs for children and youth ages 5-20, as well as social clubs, parties and events. Manners are so much more than knowing what fork to use!
The world can be a difficult place, but we know that teaching young people what the expected and respected behaviors are in social settings, and giving them the knowledge and skills they need to be socially competent, boosts their confidence, builds self-esteem, and helps them present themselves more positively. Our programs cover important and practical life and social skills topics that girls of all ages need to be their very best selves!
About Us
Taiwan Etiquette Academy & Finishing School
Jessie believes in the power of civility so much that she founded the Chinese International Etiquette and Culture Academy in 2016. The Academy will offer membership services, image, etiquette, and civility training. Additionally, members will have access to validated certification programs including the Business Image and Etiquette Certification with the Institute of Image Training and Testing International – Canada, and an internationally accredited Civility at Work® and Courtesy Coach® Trainer Certification Program– this, in partnership with the globally acclaimed Civility Experts Worldwide.
To support her endeavor to teach image, etiquette, and civility, Jessie has achieved numerous advanced certifications. She is also a candidate for Certified Civility Trainer status through the International Civility Trainers’ Consortium and upon graduation will be one of only eight Master Certified Civility Trainers in the world.
Combining a Master of Science degree with more than 10 years practical experience as a successful entrepreneur, has enabled Jessie and her team to build a distinctive and comprehensive array of products and services to help individuals and organizations find their personal best and leverage it for personal success. Building on Jessie’s personal commitment to philanthropy and citizenship activities, the Academy will be offering a signature workshop on “Civility and the Community- It’s Time for Change”. What’s next? Watch for Jessie’s new book, “Social Savvy- How your soft skills can lead to success” planned for release in late 2017.
Etiquette Parties & Classes
Build Confidence, Self-esteem and
Social Competence!
Etiquette courses help develop social skills such as:
- Proper behaviour at home, at school or in public
- Showing respect for parents, elders or others
- Communication and coping skills to avoid tantrums and overcome shyness
- Sharing, empathy and helping others
- Finding worth and building self-esteem
- Choosing good role models and navigating difficult situations
- Establishing good habits: health, diet, exercise, hygiene
- Setting realistic goals and devising plans to achieve them
- Practical life skills such as: managing money, caring for their things; basic cooking
Table Manners Classes
Improve your dining skills (Ages 5-8 or 9-12)
Children are never too young to begin learning table manners. No matter the occasion, they should know how to navigate their way through a meal so they can appear more confident and feel more comfortable in any dining scenario.
Your child’s impeccable table manners will make a great impression on others, providing long-term benefits for your child’s life. At this fun and informative tutorial your child will learn:
- How to demonstrate good manners at the table
- How to avoid rude behaviors
- How to use utensils and dining tools
- How to set the table
- How to identify different styles of eating
- How to show silent service code
- How to eat various courses of a meal
At the end of the course, participants will apply their skills while eating a four-course meal.
Teen/Youth Etiquette and Dining Workshop
Improve Your Dining Skills (Ages 13- 16 or 17-20)
As parents we all want our children to succeed. We take them to school and help them with their homework and discuss their progress with their teachers. Academically, our children are very smart. Academic intelligence is not the only way we can help our teenagers become successful.
It is imperative to a teen’s success that they adapt socially as well as academically to the responsible adult world. They are in the critical stages of making first impressions on university recruiters, future employers, and even potential mates.
